Ahly boosted by Nigerian striker Ebimobowei ahead of Africa Super Cup

Hossam Ghaly and Peter Ebimobowei will be back to trainings after recovering injuries days before Ahly meet ES Setif in Algeria for the Super Cup while the domestic league resumption still uncertain
The African Confederation Cup champions Ahly will be able to depend on Nigerian striker Peter Ebimobowei in the African Super Cup against Champions League winners Algeria's ES Setif, scheduled for Saturday, as he recovered from his injury.
The 21-year-old forward sustained a hamstring injury during Ittihad El-Shorta Premier League match on 7 February and had to be substituted.
Ebe, who joined the Cairo Giants from Nigeria's Bayelsa United in the January transfer period, opened his scoring account five minutes before the break as the Red Castle won their last match in the current league 3-1.
There was good news for the African Confederation Cup winners- who are under the helm of Spanish coach Juan Garrido- due to the return of midfielder key player Hossam Ghaly, who was injured during training last week.
The duo ended their rehabilitation programs and are supposed to participate in Wednesday's training session, one day before they fly to Algeria for Saturday's showdown.
Ahly are meeting the African Champions League winners ES Setif to compete for the continental Super Cup on 21 February.
Ahly, who are bidding for their ninth successive league title, and are currently third in the table with 36 points, nine points behind arch-rivals first-placed Zamalek who played a game more.
But the Egyptian Premier league has been put on hold since 8 February when at least 20 Zamalek fans died after police used tear-gas to stop them from forcing their way into the Air-Defence Stadium to watch a game against ENPPI; the first domestic league game fans were permitted to watch since a ban was put in place after the Port Said stadium disaster three years ago.
The Egyptian cabinet is set to decide the competition's fate on Wednesday during a previously-scheduled meeting with the Football Association (FA) officials.
Though with security in the country is on high alert since the decapitation of 21 Christian Egyptians by the Islamic State group in Libya earlier this week, a resumption of the competition might become more complex.
