After the suspension of Ahly's freshly-signed Moemen Zakareya for double-committing to Zamalek, the Reds fire back at Zamalek claiming that three of the White's players had previously signed with the Ahly Cairo football giants Ahly have officially filed a complaint to the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) against Zamalek trio Ayman Hefny (midfielder), Khaled Qamar (striker), and Nigerian Marouf Youssef (midfielder). The Egyptian champions claimed that the players signed for the Reds during the summer before joining archrivals Zamalek, accusing them for signing for two clubs. Hefny produced a string of strong displays since his arrival to the Whites, while Qamar has scored four goals for Zamalek so far, helping them to top the league table with 37 points, three ahead second-placed ENPPI. The Nigerian has yet to establish himself with the club as he has been benched during the majority of the competition. Ahly's complaints came as a response to the suspension of newly-signed forward, Moemen Zakareya, who is facing the same accusations has the Zamalek trio. The 26-year-old made a surprise move to Ahly on Tuesday after archrivals Zamalek failed to make his loan deal permanent. Zakareya left his parent club ENPPI to join Ahly on a five-year deal after ending an 18-month spell with Zamalek, where he scored seven goals in the Egyptian League top the team's scorers chart after 15 matches. Ahly's full-back Bassem Ali was hit with a one-month ban for similar reasons in October after having signed for Ahly and Zamalek simultaneously.
