Bin Hammam seeks Egypt's support in FIFA presidential race
Bin Hammam visits Cairo on Thursday, launching his presidential campaign in Arab countries for FIFA president

President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Mohamed Bin Hammam will start his Arab campaign tour in Egypt tomorrow for his seat as FIFA president.
The Qatari, the main opponent of the current president Joseph “Sepp” Blatter, will arrive in Cairo on Thursday.
“Bin Hammam will hold a press conference on Friday in the presence of president Samir Zaher and then he will travel for North African countries,” revealed a statement on the official website of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA).
Bin Hammam, 61 years old, has recently rated his chances of becoming the ninth president of FIFA - and the first from Asia - as "50-50." He is convinced that the football governing body needs a change as Blatter, 75, has been in charge since 1998.
“I have the desire and will to serve FIFA - I have always declared that competition is good,” Bin Hammam said.
"I hope that Asia is going to be united behind me, but also the other confederations where I enjoy a lot of friendship and relationships, I hope also those people are going to support me.
"Blatter is an experienced person, he has made significant contribution to football worldwide, but I believe there is a time limit for everything,” he concluded.
