CAF meet to decide African Cup fate and Morocco penalty Officials meet over troubled African Cup as Morocco refuses to host the 2015 edition amid Ebola fears
African football officials are meeting in Egypt over the troubled African Cup of Nations tournament after Morocco refused to host it early next year because of Ebola. The Confederation of African Football's executive committee began meeting at its Cairo headquarters at 10 a.m. Tuesday (0800 GMT). CAF says there are 15 points on the agenda for the meeting, which could run until Wednesday before a decision is announced on the 2015 tournament. CAF refused Morocco's request to postpone the 16-team competition until 2016 and insists it will find another country to hold it on the scheduled dates of Jan. 17-Feb. 8 if Morocco won't. Four other countries - South Africa, Egypt, Sudan and Ghana - have indicated they are unwilling to act as replacement hosts.
