Ahly's performance against Gouna was 'scary,' says Jose
After 1-0 win over Gouna, Ahly's coaching staff are worried about the team's failure to convert chances, while players are delighted having narrowed the gap with arch rivals Zamalek

Ahly's Portuguese coach, Manuel Jose is upset about his team's “humble” performance against Gouna on Tuesday in round 19 of the Egyptian Premier League despite of the 1-0 victory.
“This level of performance is scary and I am so sad,” Jose said.
“The players wasted so many easy chances and we will work on the scoring problem,” the Cairo giants' general trainer Mohamed Yusuf explained.
Players eye the title
On the contrary, most of league table runner-up's Ahly players expressed their satisfaction after the win that closed the gap to four points with arch-rivals and league leaders, Zamalek (40 points).
“Beating Gouna was hard but thank God we made the most of Zamalek and Ismaily's draw,” said the title holder's striker Osama Hosni, who scored the game's only goal in the 25th minute.
“Gaining the three points was essential for us and I am satisfied because I returned to my form,” says the Pharaohs' captain, Ahmed Hassan, who recently recovered from a cruciate ligament tear.
Ahly's Ultras cheered for Hassan during the match, wishing him good luck on his birthday. The 2010 best African-based footballer asserted that he will not think about extending his contract with the Red Devils until he feels is able to gain more glory for the club.
This week for Africa
Ahly's football director, Sayed Abdel-Hafiz expressed he is worried about his first line, especially considering attacker Emad Meteb is sidelined due to an injury.
“This is worrisome, since we could have scored another goal, but anyway, we should forget about the result now and concentrate on ZESCO match,” Abdel-Hafiz said.
League title holders have a decider continental clash against Zambia's ZESCO on Sunday in round 16 of the African champions' league in Cairo stadium, as the first-leg ended with a goalless draw.
“I am asking all the Egyptian football fans to support us in the Cairo stadium and hope that we qualify against the Zambia champions,” Hafiz concluded.
ZESCO are set to arrive in Cairo today.
