Tens of prisoners injured in Port Said jail fight

Tens of prisoners in the Portsaid general prison sustained superficial injuries after a fight broke out between pro-Muslim Brotherhood inmates and a number of criminal prisoners on Thursday.
The altercation took place during the prisoners' prescribed exercise period, quickly escalating into a fight, the Ministry of interior (MOI) said in a statement on its official Facebook page.
The guards were able to break up the fight and control the situation, moving the prisoners back to their cells, the statement added.
Thousands of members of the outlawed Muslim Brotherhood have been jailed since the ouster of Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013.
