Egypt doubles diplomatic staff to help Egyptians leave Libya
The decision comes amid the growing lawlessness in Tripoli and the eastern city of Benghazi

Egypt's foreign ministry spokesman said Tuesday that the ministry is doubling the staff on the borders between Libya and the neighbouring Tunisia to help Egyptians living in the restive cities in Libya to travel back, state news agency MENA reported.
Foreign ministry spokesperson, Badr Abdel-Atti said that Egypt's foreign ministry is closely monitoring the conditions of Egyptians living in Libya, amid the growing lawlessness and lack of security in the Tripoli and the eastern city of Benghazi.
The ministry reiterated a warning to the Egyptians living in Libya to leave the embattled cities to safer places in Libya. An Egyptian diplomatic mission will be available on the Libyan-Tunisian border to help Egyptians wishing to return to their country.
The staff will take Egyptians in buses from Libya to Garba Airport in Tunisia, before flying back to Egypt, the ministry added.
Libya has been embroiled in turmoil since the ouster of longtime autocrat Muammar Gaddafi and the increasing power of militias. An ongoing fight between rival militias for more than two weeks over control of the capital's international airport has killed dozens and injured hundreds.
Shells sometimes fall over civilian homes in the vicinity of the airport killing and injuring people, who are not engaged in fighting.
On Sunday, a rocket fell on a civilian home killing 23 people. The casualties were primarily reported to include Egyptians, but this was later denied by the Libyan authorities.
Several countries issued a travel warning to Libya after the latest bout of violence, including Italy and Britain.
