Zamalek retained their African Handball Cup Winners' Cup title after beating FAP Yaoundé of Cameroon 27-21 in the final on Friday. The Cairo club clinched the annual tournament's title for the third consecutive time and fourth overall, having won their maiden accolade in 1985. They come third in the list of winners, one title behind Tunisia's Club Africain and five adrift of Algerian side MC Alger. Zamalek also won the African Super Cup earlier this month to qualify for the Club World Championship, which will take place in Qatar next month.
