Spain manager Vicente del Bosque has left Manchester City duo Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo out of his final World Cup squad, while Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa has made the cut.
Navas, 28, has been ruled due to an ankle injury that forced him out of Premier League champions Manchester City's last five games of the campaign, while there was no place for Negredo in the reigning world champions' 23-man list.
Despite being a major doubt for the Brazil finals following a hamstring setback that forced him off La Liga champions Atletico Madrid's league finale against Barcelona, Costa has been included by del Bosque, who will be sweating over his forward's fitness after missing Friday's friendly with Bolivia.
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has been recalled, while Fernando Llorente, Ander Iturraspe, Alberto Moreno and Dani Carvajal were all omitted.
