Egypt forward Mahmoud 'Kahraba' Abdel-Moneim has sealed his Grasshoppers loan move after passing a medical at the Swiss league runner-up. The 20-year old has been linked with the 27-time Swiss champions since annulling his loan deal with rivals Luzern following a dispute with the club's board and management. Signing from parent club ENPPI, Kahraba joins Grasshoppers on a six-month deal following a season-long tenure at Luzern with a buy-out option at the end of the year. Despite not sealing a move to a higher-caliber competition, Kahraba will still have a chance to feature in next season's Champions League qualifying round with Grasshoppers. The ENPPI forward had a fine spell at Luzern, who finished fourth in the Swiss league, having scored seven league goals in 19 appearances. However his contract has been terminated after disciplinary issues.
