Prosecutors call for inquiry into Ain Shams Univ student's death
Mohamed Ayman, a student at Ain Shams University, died on Wednesday after being injured in clashes with security forces

Cairo's prosecution has ordered forensic authorities to investigate the death of an Ain Shams University student who was injured in clashes with security forces at the university, Al-Ahram's Arabic news website reported.
Student Mohamed Ayman died on Wednesday from injuries he sustained during clashes with security forces in front of the university the day before.
Tuesday's protest saw students in favour of ousted president Mohamed Morsi burning car tyres and shooting off fireworks, in addition to blocking the main road and chanting slogans against the army, police and Egypt's interim authorities. Police responded with tear gas and chased the students into side-streets.
Seven students were detained for involvement in the clashes, according to Al-Ahram.
Students have staged near-daily protests since the start of the academic year in September to denounce interim authorities and call for the release of colleagues detained by security forces.
University students are currently sitting for their end-of-year examinations, which have been overshadowed by fears of a recurrence of the violence that interrupted mid-year exams, specifically at Al-Azhar University in Cairo.
Pro-Morsi students have been at the heart of the Brotherhood's defiance of interim authorities, especially after the group's street presence fizzled significantly amid a security crackdown that has left hundreds of its members dead and thousands detained, including the group's top leadership.
