An evening commemorating the life of scriptwriter Nadine Shams, who passed away in March, will take place at the Cairo Opera House on Monday 12 May

On 22 March, Egyptian scriptwriterNadine Shamsdiedafter a routine operation,which her family blame on the doctors.
A special evening dubbed 'In loving memory ofNadine Shams' will be held at the Cairo Opera House on Monday 12 May.
The event, directed by Nasr Abdel-Moneim, will include screenings of a film about Shams, a presentation of her work, performances by singers Maryam Saleh and Fayrouz Karawyah, and ballet performances.
Shams was a graduate of the High Cinema Institute, she wroteEhna Etkabelna Abl Kida(We've met before), a 2008 film starring Nelly Kareem.
She also worked on the popular television series Moga Harra last Ramadan.
