CAIRO: Egyptian Minister of Tourism Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour said demonstrators who made their way to al-Remaya Square at the end of Pyramids Street were reiterating their support for Egypt's economic interests, which mainly depend on tourism. He demanded the support of the tourism sector and its protection against anyone attempting to harm it, during his participation in the “Tourism is our income” protest today. He said Islamists gaining the majority of votes in parliamentary elections does not cause any worries, particularly because Egyptians are fully aware of tourism's importance. Abdel Nour confirmed that tourism is on the path of recovery, especially after gaining more security and stability recently.
