CAIRO: The Administrative Court has ruled it has no jurisdiction to refer Egypt's former President Hosni Mubarak and his Interior Minister Habib al-Adly to military trial for prosecution for killing peaceful demonstrators during the January 25 Revolution. Lawyer Mahmoud Hagag filed a case against the head of the ruling Supreme Council of Armed Forces, prime minister, minister of justice and public prosecutor, demanding Mubarak be prosecuted in front of a military trial. Hagag said Mubarak's former title of supreme commander of police and Armed Forces should be enough to refer him to military trial for giving orders to security forces to kill peaceful protesters in the January 25 Revolution. He added that this was in accordance with military law 25 of 1966. He said issuing orders to kill civilians expressing their opinions is considered a crime against humanity, warranting their referral to military trial.
