The Cairo Opera House is presenting a musical performance, lead by Maestro Ahmed al-Saidi in the great theater at 8:00 P.M. The performance is a part of circulating concert of the Cairo Orchestra. It presents world classics of great composers such as the 39th Symphony by Mozart and the 3rd Symphony by Beethoven. Maestro Ahmed al-Saidi is the founder and the head of the Egyptian Philharmonic Association. He studied at the Supreme School for Music and Dramatic Arts in Vienna. He studied music and trained to be a Maestro in Germany. He was the maestro of the Vienna Orchestra from 1986-1988 and of the Symphonic Cairo Orchestra from 1991-2003. He received the Medal of Villa Lobos annual Medal award in Brazil, the State Prize for composing in 1995, and the Shield of Honor for Science and Arts in Austria in 2004. Austrian Maestro Franz Liatashour formed Symphonic Cairo Orchestra in 1959, and has helped enrich the music scene in Egypt and encourage Egyptian musicians. This Orchestra participated in many successful festivals such as the Arab attitude festival, the Beethoven Festival and the Twentieth Century festival. The Orchestra also held many successful international workshops in leading orchestras.
