The Head of the Egyptian Company for Natural Gases (EGAS) denied they managed an agreement with East Mediterranean Gas to amend the price of Egypt's exported gas to Israel. He added in a statement issued on Thursday that negotiations were stalled, especially with the suspension of Egyptian gas supplies to Israel since the explosions of the gas pipeline. A source in the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum said the recent developments in the region and political tension between Egypt and Israel led to the suspension of negotiations aiming to amend the prices of gas export to Israel. He clarified before recent tensions, negotiations started with the partners, including Israel, represented by East Mediterranean Gas. Meanwhile, a technician team from GASCO, which operates the pipeline transporting Arab gas to Israel, is repairing the damage of the gas station as a result of the four consecutive explosions after the January 25 Revolution.
