‘No military trials for civilians' Facebook page called for the formation of a public movement to pressure the rulers of Egypt to suspend the military trials of civilians by organizing an electronic demonstration on Saturday. They said the objective of such a call is to gather a large number of Facebook users to comment and express their refusal in prosecuting civilians in military trials on government's pages. These will include the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces' pages, the official Egypt's Cabinet page, the Egyptian Prime Minister Essam Sharaf's page, and the official Egypt's Ministry of Interior's page. They added their campaign acknowledges the importance of social websites especially since they demand a public website respected by the rulers of Egypt. The group ‘No military trials for civilians' was established by a number of lawyers, activists and human rights organizations after dissolving the organized strike in Tahrir Square by force in March. The group also aims to suspend all forms of torture in police prisons, army or headquarters of the public security.
