55 were injured during protests at the Israeli embassy in Giza Saturday, said the assistant Egyptian Minister of Health, Adel Adawi. Protestors gathered to demand the expulsion of the Israeli ambassador in response to the death of Egyptian soldiers on the Egyptian-Israeli border at the hands of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) Thursday, three Egyptian soldiers and a border guard were killed by the Israeli military as the IDF pursued militants attempting to flee across the border into Egypt. Three other soldiers were injured during the clashes. 41 of the injured were treated at the protest site while 14 were transferred to surrounding hospitals. All injuries were simple bruises, wounds and catalepsies. Adawi said the state of emergency was at its highest level in Arish, Sheikh Zewid and Ismailia hospitals in the governorate of North Sinai. The medical supply department in the Ministry of Health sent all medical requirements and medicines to those hospitals. Medical teams were quickly sent to North Sinai to work in case of emergencies. Adawi also said the Ministry of Health is preparing a field hospital to be sent to Egyptian borders.
