Members of the newly-formed Party of the Revolution sent a complaint to Egypt's Attorney General, Abdel Maguid Mahmoud, accusing writer and journalist Ahmed Rajab and Mustafa Hussein, artist and cartoonist, of insulting the Islamic religion. The report, No. 8097/2011 to the Attorney General, says that on the first page of al-Akhbar al-Youm issue No. 3474 Ragab and Hussein published cartoons which insulted Islam, incited people again the Salafist movement and mocked women who choose to wear the Niqab, a veil which covers everything but their eyes. The report described the cartoon as being of a semi-naked woman next to a drunk main with a painting depicting a Salafi behind them.
