Mohamed Zidan dished out an assist as Borussia Dortmund continued their fine run in the Bundesliga with a crushing 3-0 home victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday. They couldn't break the deadlock in the first half but excelled in the second to secure a third successive win. Their previous two wins were also emphatic, defeating Borussia Monchengladbach 3-0 and Bochum 4-1. Argentinean striker Lucas Barrios, Dortmund's top scorer, put them ahead five minutes after the restart with a close-range shot after a corner. He doubled the lead in the 61st minute after being set up by lively Egyptian forward Zidan. Zidan intercepted a poor pass from a Leverkusen player and broke the offside trap with a deft pass that found Barrios, who went through and fired the ball past the advancing keeper. Barrios took his tally to 13 goals, three behind Bundesliga top scorer Stefan Kiessling of Leverkusen. Bulgarian striker Dimitar Rangelov, who replaced Barrios in the 73rd minute, completed the rout three minutes from time. Dortmund, who have 48 points from 27 games, cemented their fourth place as they seek to play in next season's Europa League.
