Geddo hopes for Zamalek-Ittihad settlement
Published in FilGoal on 10 - 02 - 2010

Mohamed Nagi 'Geddo' has called on Zamalek to try to reach an out-of-court settlement with Ittihad over his future.
The Egypt forward is in hot water after admitting that he signed a deal to join Zamalek next season as a free agent before extending his existing contract with Ittihad few days later.
According to FIFA's regulations, he should be punished for signing for two clubs at the same time.
However, Geddo hopes the matter will not be escalated to that extent.
"I sat down with Zamalek chairman Mamdouh Abbas and coach Hossam Hassan to try to solve this annoying matter," Geddo told Dream TV on Wednesday.
"I asked them to hold talks with Ittihad if they want to sign me next season.
"I don't expect that Zamalek will take a legal action, they are a respectable club who care about the future of players."
The Cairo side said more than once they would do their utmost to 'preserve their rights' in the transfer saga.
Ittihad insisted that Geddo should be theirs because he prolonged his deal, which was due to expire at the end of the season.
The 25-year-old attracted a host of suitors after producing impressive displays off the bench in Egypt's triumphant Nations Cup campaign in Angola.
He scored five goals to finish as the top scorer, despite not starting any game, and lead the Pharaohs to an unprecedented third consecutive title.
