Hiddink highlights Chelsea 'achievement'
Published in FilGoal on 29 - 04 - 2009

Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink said it was quite an achievement for his side to hold Barcelona to a goalless draw at Nou Camp on Tuesday.
Despite Barcelona's attacking verve, which helped them score at home in every single match this season, the Catalans failed to break down a stubborn Chelsea defense in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League semi final.
"When you look at the short history of Barca and what their results have been and the score here, it's quite an achievement against a beautiful team," Hiddink said after the game.
"We had to be very tactically disciplined defensively although we didn't keep possession well in the first half.
"Second half we did better because we started playing football on more occasions. It is a complement to the team to play in difficult circumstances but we have to do more."
Barcelona's sensational winger Lionel Messi was kept at bay throughout the game, thanks to the impressive defensive display of Jose Bosingwa, who played as a left back in the absence of Ashley Cole.
But Hiddink still believes the Argentinean could still pose threat in next week's return leg at Stamford Bridge.
"Bosingwa did a good job and had some help from (Florent) Malouda on the left side and good support from the centre as well when Messi cut inside," the Russian tactician said.
"It can happen one night that you stop him, but I don't think it will happen twice."
