Ahli coach Manuel Jose admitted his side were lucky to claim a 1-0 away victory over Ghazl Mahalla in the Egyptian League on Saturday. The Red Devils have struggled to break down Mahalla's resistance and the hosts could have even opened the scoring on a couple of occasions. However, Angolan striker Flavio Amado came to Ahli's rescue when he netted the winner deep into stoppage time. "Mahalla deserved at least a draw tonight," Portuguese manager Jose told the post-match press conference. "They are a very good team. We always suffer when we play at their venue." Jose expressed his frustration with the way keeper Essam Al-Hadari departed the team to join Swiss side Sion. "Al-Hadari deceived his fans, who have supported him throughout his career with Ahli," he added.
