Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard praised his player's determination after their comeback victory over Celta Vigo in La Liga opener. "Getting back into a game twice is never easy, especially away from home," Rijkaard said in Monday's post-match press conference. "This is a very important moment for us and we suffered but managed to get back into the game on two occasions." The Spanish and European champions went one down before answering with two goals from Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi. But the home side looked close to snatch a point when they equalized before new-signing Eidur Gudjohnsen scored the winner in the 88th minute. "When we were most on top, they scored, and then when we went 2-1 up, they drew level, and that makes you suffer," the Dutch manager said. "In the end, it all worked out fine, we were able to win. We have done our job." Rijkaard didn't forget to hail Celta Vigo's competitive display. "Before the match I said that this is a very hard place to come and play, so we have to feel satisfied," he said.
