Egypt midfielder Mohamed Al-Nenni suffered a ‘circulatory insufficiency' during Basel's flight to the Europa League game at Zenit St. Petersburg, forcing an emergency landing. Basel's website said that the 20-year-old 'suddenly felt very unwell due to dehydration which caused a circulatory insufficiency'. Al-Nenni's condition forced the Hamburg Airways plane to a stopover in Berlin-Tegel Airport but the flight was resumed 50 minutes later. The Swiss champions said that the youngster was fortunately feeling better and is expected to be part of the team's Wednesday's training. Basel face Russian giants Zenit on Thursday as they aim to preserve a 2-nil first-leg lead for a place in the Europa League quarter-finals.
