Ex-PM accused of squandering public funds

A 5 billion dollar deal reached quietly with foreigners for the sale of IDEAL Company for home appliances has provoked a Cairo-based lawyer to file a legal complaint against former prime minister Atef Ebied over the government over the "hidden" privatisation projects.
According to the complaint, the lawyer, whose name was not disclosed, has accused Ebied of squandering public fund and demanded the Prosecutor General to order the ex-PM to explain the circumstances of IDEAL priviatisation.
