Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will meet with President Idriss Debbie of Chad in Cairo on Tuesday for talks. "The two leaders' talks will tackle bilateral ties, Sudan and the Horn of Africa scene," said Mona Omar, Egypt's Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs. She added that talks would also review the situation in the Western Sudanese province of Darfur. "Egypt is interested in promoting ties with Chad. So, Egypt will elaborate on its leading experiment in eastern Owynat (in Egypt) and explore the possibility of duplicating in Chad, which had a food crisis," added the official.
