RIYADH - The Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is to hold an emergency meeting on Sunday, focusing on the consequences of Israel's attack on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla. The decision to hold the ministerial level meeting of the OIC's executive committee was taken in response from requests by a number of member states, a statement by the group said on Wednesday. Foreign ministers from Syria, Malaysia, Senegal, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Palestinian territories, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan are expected to attend the meeting at OIC headquarters in the Saudi city of Jeddah. The OIC, which has 57 member states, is currently headed by Kamal el-Din Ihsanolgu of Turkey. Israel attacked an aid flotilla heading to the besieged Gaza Strip on Monday, killing nine activists of differing nationalities, according to Israeli accounts.
