SAFWAT el-Sherif, the chairman of the Shura Council (the Upper House of the Parliament) received on Sunday First Vice President of the Czech Senate, Ms. Ellena G, who represented her country at the first conference of female parliamentarians in the Mediterranean Sea region that started in Cairo on Saturday with the participation of member states of the Euro-Med Union Initiative. El-Sherif and the visiting lawmaker discussed bolstering cooperation between the upper chambers of the Egyptian and Czech Parliaments. He said that Egypt was eager for more cooperation with the Czech Republic in all domains to promote the interests of the two countries' peoples.
