CAIRO – Egypt's ex-Interior Minister Mahmoud Wagdi arrived at the Police Academy, New Cairo, on Thursday to testify in the trial of the ousted president Hosni Mubarak, Al-Youm Al-Sabea website reported. The session of the trial is held behind closed doors. Mubarak, his two sons – Gamal and Alaa – former interior minister Habib el-Adli and six of his deputies are being tried on charges of involvement in killing protesters during the January-February-18-day revolt. Interior Minister Mansour el-Essawi gave his testimony on Wednesday. The head of the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Field Marshal Mohamed Tantawi and his deputy Sami Anan are set to testify in the same trial on September 24 and 25.
