CAIRO – A new of late Egyptian president Anwar el-Sadat has said that he has accepted steering the helm offormerly ruling National Democratic Party. Talaat el-Sadat, an ex-member of the parliament, added that the notorious party will be renamed the New National Party. "The first decision I'll take is to take the members of the party who has corrupted the political life in Egypt starting with former president Hosni Mubarak," he said. El Sadat said a congress of the revamped party would be held by the tomb of his uncle--Anwar el-Sata--on April 25.
