ALEXANDRIA (Egypt) - Three people were killed on Friday when part of a residential building collapsed west of the coastal city of Alexandria, according to police. Three others were injured as civil defence teams managed to safely evacuate other residents of the building, they added. Local authorities opened into investigations into the cause behind the collapse. Building collapses are common in Egypt due to unclicensed construction and the use of poor building materials.
