CRETE, Oct 10 , 2018 (MENA) - Egyptian President Abdel Fatah El Sisi arrived in Crete on Wednesday to attend the sixth round of the tripartite summit between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus. Leaders of Cyprus, Greece and Egypt will discuss, among other topics, energy security and terrorism, the Cyprus issue and the Middle East peace process, the Cyprus News Agency reported. The three leaders will take stock of their trilateral cooperation so far. The signing of several agreements is also expected to take place, while ministers from the three countries are set to meet on the sidelines. President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, Greek Premier Alexis Tsipras and the President of Egypt Abdel Fatah El Sisi are expected to start their consultations with bilateral meetings at a seaside resort, in Elounda, before all three of them meet for a tête-à-tête. President Sisi will have talks with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on means of pushing forward bilateral relations in all domains as part of close ties binding the two countries and their keenness on continuing consultations regarding all issues of common interest. The Egyptian president is also due to meet his Cyprus counterpart Nicos Anastasiades to hold talks on the distinguished relations between the two countries that have witnessed notable growth over the past period. The three leaders are scheduled to hold a press conference at the conclusion of their summit talks. An agreement on social insurance between Egypt and Greece is expected to be signed on the fringe of the summit. Also, four memoranda of understanding between the three countries will be signed to cover small- and medium-scale enterprises, investment and customs duty free. Crete summit aims at building upon what has been achieved in the past five summits as well as evaluating cooperation between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus invarious fields, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said in earlier statements.
