CAIRO, September 23, 2018 (MENA) -- The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Egypt Post, Essam el-Saghir and the Head of the Jordanian Post, Dr Khaled al-Lahham, signed a co-operation protocol in the field of e-commerce in order to allow Jordanian postal customers to shop from the United States, the United Kingdom and China through the Cairo Logistics Center. Essam el-Saghir said in a statement Sunday that under this agreement, the Egypt Post's e-commerce logistical hub in Cairo International Airport will be used so that Jordanian Post customers can easily shop from the US, the UK and China. He added that the items will be collected from these three countries and shipped to the logistical hub in Cairo and then to Jordan, thus reducing the cost of shipping and upgrading and improving the level of service. The agreement also stipulates the activation of the immediate remittance service for Egyptians working in Jordan, to enable them to send cash transfers to their families in Egypt through more than 4,000 post offices spread throughout Jordan.
