Two Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrike on northern Gaza Strip

GAZA CITY, August 7, (MENA) - Two Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of citizens in Beit Lahia town in northern the Gaza Strip.
Al Aqsa Radio said medical teams carried the bodies of the two martyrs to the Indonesy Hospital in northern Gaza.
Local media said that an Israeli reconnaissance plane fired a rocket at a group of Palestinians gathering near a position of Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas movement, in Ashkelon.
A number of citizens were also reportedly injured.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army said that it shelled a Hamas post in response to firing from the Palestinian enclave that targeted Israeli troops.
According to Palestinian sources, the Israeli attack hit two of Qassam elements at Hamas' Ashkelon base. They were identified as Ahmed Morgan and Abdel Hafiz al Selawy from Jabalia refugee camp.
The Gaza Health Ministry confirmed the two deaths.
