CAIRO, August 2, 2018 - Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli has asserted the government's keenness on implementing the Sour Magra El-Oyoun development project. He was speaking at a meeting with Finance Minister Mohamed Maeet, Trade Minister Amr Nassar, Cairo Governor Atef Abdel Hamid and the Chairman of the General Authority for Urban Planning (GAUP) Essam el-Gazzar on Thursday. During the meeting, Madbouli said that the project was part of an overall plan to restore Cairo as a city of heritage and arts and a centre for cultural radiation. They agreed that the Finance Ministry, Cairo governorate and the GAUP would sign a protool to develop Sour Magra el-Oyoun area, the 700-year-old aqueduct in Old Cairo, Cabinet Spokesman Ambassador Ashraf Sultan said yesterday. Within the context of overhauling Sour Magra el-Oyoun, Robeiki leather city would replace the centuries-old tanneries in the area.
