CAIRO, June 26, 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi called on the government Tuesday to go ahead with plans to establish integrated industrial cities, topped by Roubiki Leather City and the Damietta Furniture City. Sisi made the remarks during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Trade and Industry Minister Amr Nassar, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said. The president called for continuing efforts to promote the industrial sector in Egypt as one of the most important pillars of the national economy. During the meeting, Nassar reviewed his ministry's strategy to develop the industrial sector in Egypt, particularly in the fields of textile, furniture, carpets and automotive. The minister also revealed the ministry's plans to promote trade relations with the world countries and increase Egyptian exports during the coming period. Nassar further stressed his keenness on encouraging junior exporters and providing them with the necessary training to increase Egyptian exports in the coming period.
