CAIRO, May 3, 2018 (MENA) - The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced on Thursday the renewal of treasury bills worth US$1.1 billion for local banks and international institutions that bought in May last year. The date of offering the bills will be on May 8, according to a statement issued by CBE. It added that the banks and institutions will have the right to apply until May 7. Offering the bills came upon the request of the local banks and international institutions, said a CBE source to MENA. Egypt's net foreign reserves rose to $44.030 billion at the end of April from $42.611 billion at the end of March, the CBE said on Thursday.
