CAIRO, April 30, 2018 (MENA) - French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian said Sunday he is impressed by the statue of Ramses II, ancient Egypt's greatest ruler, which has been recently moved to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) overlooking the Giza Plateau. Le Drian, who visited GEM accompanied by France ambassador to Cairo Stephane Romatet, said his country is ready to offer its expertise to contribute to the "ambitious and amazing" project carried out in the museum. "Le Drian inspected the GEM location and restoration labs, where he expressed France's willingness to offer necessary support to finalise the GEM project," the museum's head Tarek Tawfik told MENA.
