Cairo 3A signs partnership to distribute Driscoll's berries in local market
The partnership allows Cairo 3A Agricultural to distribute berry products in the local market with a plan to farm them in Egypt

Cairo 3A — an affiliate of Cairo 3A Group — recently announced the signing of a partnership contract with Driscoll's International to distribute their goods in the local market.
Driscoll's is the world's leading company in cultivating, producing, and exporting blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, berries, and strawberries.
Under the partnership agreement, Cairo 3A will be the sole representative for the marketing and sales of these goods in the Egyptian market.
Delivering a variety of new and distinguished products that suit the different tastes of Egyptians is one of Cairo 3A's intents by signing this partnership. This also comes in line with the country's directives to establish partnerships with major international companies and encourage attracting foreign investments to Egypt.
Driscoll's granted the exclusive partnership to Cairo 3A on the grounds of its distinguished experience in producing and distributing fruits and vegetables to the Egyptian and global markets.
Ali Al-Gamil — CEO of Cairo 3A — said that Driscoll's is cultivated in 21 countries and marketed across more than 60 countries in North America, Europe, and the Middle East.
Al-Gamil added that the agreement includes a plan to export strawberry products by Cairo 3A to different distribution areas handled by Driscoll's worldwide. This will contribute to placing Egypt on the global map for the cultivation of some specialised types of fruits and will also lead to investors breaking into the Egyptian agricultural market.
He also stated that it was mutually agreed to reach a EGP 300m volume of cooperation during the first year, whether from distributing Driscoll's products in the Egyptian market or exporting Cairo 3A's strawberry products through Driscoll's distribution network across the globe, with an optimistic plan to exceed the barrier of EGP 1 bn by the fifth year. Cairo 3A aims to obtain a 50% market share of berry sales in the local market in 2023, provided that it exceeds 90% by 2028.
"We identified the major companies operating in the local market and studied them thoroughly to choose the one that will contribute to supporting our vision, Cairo 3A was the most suitable company to match our standards," said Shadi Fayed — Manager of Sales and Key Accounts for Driscoll's in MENA.
Cairo 3A is operating in producing and distributing fruits and vegetables in the Egyptian market. It owns 2,500 acres in Wadi Al-Natrun to grow several crops, a packing station with a production capacity of 120 tonnes per day that includes six packing lines, and one of the largest cold storage facilities in the Middle East and Africa with a capacity of 6.6 pallets to ensure that fresh fruits and vegetables retain their high quality.
The facility also includes three cold rooms, two freezer rooms, two pre-cooling units, and one quick-freezing tunnel, in addition to the Qutof concentrates factory, which operates with an annual production capacity of 12,000 tonnes.
