Increase in exhibitor numbers in Cityscape Egypt
Published in Daily News Egypt on 28 - 02 - 2017

The real-estate exhibition Cityscape Egypt—set to take place between 31 March and 3 April in the Cairo International Convention Centre—has witnessed an increase in the number of companies that will display their work, with up to 90 major real-estate companies scheduled to take part. Additionally, 20 new exhibitors will be taking part for the first time, including Commercial Real Estate Services (CBRE), Catalyst, Mangroovy Residence, Life Park, Avenues Real Estate, ARDIC for Real Estate Development, and Al Nasr Housing and Construction.
The event is expected to showcase a large number of residential projects with suitable prices, including coastal units in the North Coast area and villas of a modern architectural style, showing that the Egyptian real-estate sector is expressing optimism in 2017.
Tom Rhodes, head of the exhibition, said that there is a noticeable increase in the number of new entrants. Moreover, some of the most important exhibitors increased their exhibition area. More than 15,000sqm of the exhibition's space has been sold. "Even though there are some challenges in the market, the demand is continuous and stable this year," Rhodes said.
Cityscape is expected to include a comeback of the Cityscape Egypt awards ceremony, held on 28 March under the sponsorship of JLL, a professional services and investment management firm. The ceremony will allow international architects and developers to communicate in order to present a joint vision of the future.
Cityscape is one of the major events organised by Informa Exhibitions, which organises more than 220 commercial and consumer exhibitions every year. Cityscape was launched for the first time in 2002 in Dubai. Since its launch, the exhibitions have received more than 500,000 real-estate specialists and investors from more than 160 countries around the world.
