Egyptian swimming team stands out at the African Swimming Championship

After the Egyptian national swimming team won six medals on the first day at the African Swimming Championship held in South Africa, it was as if a tidal wave was released. Seven medals came on the second day, and another seven were obtained on the third. The team's victories continued as they claimed seven additional medals on the fourth day.
Mariam Sakr won silver in the 100 metres women's butterfly stroke, after she finished in 1:03.11.
Marwan El-Amrawy also took home a silver medal for his time 3:56.45 in the 400 metres men's freestyle stroke.
Reem Kasem surprised her fans after she ended in second place in the 800 metres women's freestyle stroke. Kasem finished the competition in 9:13.85.
The Egyptian relay team consisting of Salem Ihab, Marwan El-Amrawy, Ahmed Hamdy, and Mohamed Samy recorded a time of 3:25.25 in the 4×100 metres men's relay freestyle, scoring another silver medal.
As for the bronze medal, Rowida Hesham came in third in the 100 metres women's butterfly stroke and finished with a time of 1:03.23.
In the 100 metres women's breaststroke, May Atef finished in 1:12.49, also scooping up a bronze.
Hassan Yasser claimed another bronze for Egypt in the men's 200 metres breaststroke, after he finished in 2:21.17.
On the championship's fifth day, Egyptian champions claimed another six medals.
Ahmed Hamdy won silver in the 200 metres men's butterfly stroke, finishing in 2:03.27.
Mohamed Samy came in second for the men's100 metres backstroke, finishing with a time of 57.31.
The silver medal in the woman's 50 metres freestyle went to Rowan El-Badry, who placed second with a time of 27.02.
Marwan El-Amrawy took away another silver medal with his performance in the 1,500 metres men's freestyle stroke, clocking in at 15:48.33.
As for the fifth day's bronze medals, the Egyptian relay team consisting of Mohamed Samy, Hassan Yasser, Mariam Sakr, and Rowan El-Badry, finished the 4×100 mixed medley, registering a time of 4:06.13.
Rowida Hesham also swam away with a bronze in the 200 metres women's medley. Hesham finished the competition in 2:22.38.
