Wife of Kazakh diplomat gives birth to triplets
Published in Daily News Egypt on 03 - 06 - 2007

CAIRO: Some people associate Egypt with the Pyramids, others with the Nile and others with diving in Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada. Kazakhs, for sure, now associate Egypt with fertility. Kazakh Ambassador in Cairo Baghdad Amreyev said that all diplomats working in he Kazakh embassy in Egypt had baby boys and, of course, girls.
Mr Nurlan Orazov, 33, the new father is the first secretary of the Kazakh Embassy in Cairo and his wife, Mrs Golnaz, 30, became parents to triplets, two boys and a girl, last Sunday. It is historical, said his colleague at the embassy Mr. Bakkyty Batyrshauly. It is the first time that something like this happens at a Kazakh embassy abroad. I feel very happy. My first children were born in Cairo .I chose a hospital in Manial El-Roda area, where Kazakh and Mamluks lived some six centuries ago, the father said. The Kazakhs contributed to the history of Egypt through Al-Zahir Baibars, one of the most eminent of the Mamluke sultans of Egypt and Syria, who ruled from 1260 to 1277 and who is noted both for his military campaigns against Mongols and the Crusaders. Wives of diplomats came to congratulate Golnaz, who underwent a caesarean section. Asked about her feelings, the mother said, I m happy.I cannot describe it. I had one brother, but my grandmother had given birth to twins before. Maybe it is genetic. The children, still unnamed, were healthy. According to Kazakh tradition, relatives and friends should not see them before 40 days, for good health. So a party will be thrown 40 days from now, celebrating the birth of the triplets. Golnaz mother flew from Astana to be at the help of her daughter and her mother-in-law was expected to come to see her grandchildren by Thursday. The grandmother was the happiest of all to see her first grandsons and granddaughter.
