Tokyo (dpa) – The Honda E Roadster concept car seen at the recent Tokyo Motor Show will probably go into serial production next year, according to a report in Germany's auto-motor-sport magazine. Quoting Honda CEO Takanabu Ito, the magazine said that apart from an electric version the car could also be offered with a normal combustion engine. The electric version of the car is listed with a range of 160 kilometers and a top speed of 160 km/h. The E-Roadster is part of a model offensive to reduce the overall fleet consumption with Honda aiming to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 30 per cent up to the year 2020, Ito was quoted as saying.
