Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 25 - 08 - 2018

Egyptian President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi inaugurated an industrial mega complex for cement, marble and granite in Upper Egypt's Beni Suef Governorate in mid-August.
The complex is considered to be the largest of its kind; Egypt Today presents in numbers the importance and the identity of this project.
What does the complex contain?
The industrial complex includes three major cement factories producing 20 percent of Egypt's cement production.
Each plant has production lines with a total of six lines sufficient to produce more than 11 million tons of cement annually and more than 37,000 tonnes per day.
The complex also comprises five mega marble factories and two granite factories in an area of 200,000 square meters and a production capacity of 3 million meters. The Foundation
Egypt started to establish the complex in May 2016 to secure its strategic industries; aiming to meet the needs of housing and infrastructure projects.
The complex comes in an area of five square kilometers which makes it the largest of its kind.
Environmental Pollution
All production lines are equipped with advanced filters to reduce environmental pollution. Sisi emphasized during the inauguration the importance of meeting the environmental requirements in the cement factories in order to preserve the environment.
He pointed out that the extraction of marble in the new complex is carried out using advanced methods to reduce waste.
It's certified by ISO 9001 and is also quality certified.
Job Opportunities
The complex provides thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities, mostly to citizens of Upper Egypt.
Many national and international companies have contributed in constructing the complex.
The new project provides 3,000 direct job opportunities, and 10,000 indirect ones, Sisi stated.
