EGX 30 Ends At 4868 Pts, OTMT 9.30% Up; Sunday

During Sunday closing session, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) has pared its early gains to eventually reach EGP 467 million as the capital market has amounted to EGP 337.778 billion.
Worth mentioning, the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) Administration announced that the timing of EGX (Main Market) trading session during the holy month of Ramadan shall start from 10:30 a.m. (08:30 GMT) until 01:30 p.m. (11:30 GMT).
The main index, EGX30 rose 0.01% to end at 4868.05 p. EGX20 surged 0.16% to close at 5556.23 p.
Meanwhile, the mid- and small-cap index, the EGX70 edged up 0.10% to finish at 427.42 p. Price index EGX100 inched lower 0.02% to conclude at 734.19 p.
Traded volume reached 174.355 million securities worth EGP 195.842 million, exchanged through 11.859 transactions.
This was after trading in 148 listed securities; 46 declined 80 advanced while 22 keeping their previous levels.
Arabs and non-Arab Foreigners were net sellers seizing 8.44% and 27.72% respectively, of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 17.694 million and EGP 57.478 million excluding the deals.
On the other hand, Egyptians were net buyers seizing 63.84% of the total markets, with a net equity of EGP 75.172 million excluding the deals.
Leading Shares:
EGX's leading shares witnessed collective upwards except for two shares went down; Commercial International Bank- Egypt (CIB) (COMI.CA) plummeted 0.51% to close at EGP 29.07 and Talaat Moustafa Group (TMGH.CA) tumbled by 0.24% to finish at EGP 4.09.
Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding:
The shares of Orascom Telecom Media & Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) have led EGX's upwards by soaring 9.30% to close at EGP 0.47.
Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding (OTMT.CA) had paid Thursday, July 19, 2012, dividend No. 1, at EGP 1.05 a share, to shareholders of record till close of trading on the general meeting date.
The company's ordinary shareholder meeting approved the dividend payment, to be financed from realized retained earnings till June 7th. Accordingly, shareholders' share in profit will reach EGP 5.508 billion.
Orascom Telecom Holding:
The shares of Orascom Telecom Holding (OTH) (ORTE.CA) surged 0.30% to close at EGP 3.29.
EFG-Hermes Holding:
The shares of EFG-Hermes Holding (HRHO.CA) inched higher 0.27% to end at EGP 11.12.
Orascom Construction Industries:
Orascom Construction Industries (OCIC.CA) rose by 0.07% to conclude at EGP 254.80.
