Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said Wednesday that the state had implemented 25,000 housing units to rehabilitate risky slum dwellers and 245 social housing more, at costs totally 32 billion Egyptian pounds ($1.8 billion). Sisi further made his remarks at Story of a Nation event adding that 11,000 national projects have been implemented in Egypt over the past four years, with an average of three projects a day worth 2 trillion pounds. The conference took place at the military-owned Al Masah Hotel in the county's new administrative capital city. "The county is carrying out 300,000 new units," the Egyptian president further referred. Sisi added that Egypt has started establishing 100,000 greenhouses and 1.5 million Feddan Project. On December 30, 2015, Sisi launched in Farafra the 1.5 million Feddans Project, which is one of mega national flagships and the pillars of a step toward the future. It is set achieve sustainable development. This project is a model for the modern Egyptian countryside that will be a model for a series of villages, addressing the problems of the past and invest the present elements.
