The 1st Arab conference for FIDIC contracts to kick off in Cairo next month

The Federation of Arab Contractors is to launch the first Arab conference for FIDIC contracts September 1-3, 2016 in Cairo in attendance of number of major Arab construction companies.
The Arab federation is organizing the conference activities in cooperation with International Academy for Mediation and Arbitration and Council of Arab Economic Unity.
FIDIC is the International Federation of Consulting Engineers; it aims to publish international standard forms of contracts for works and for clients, consultants, sub-consultants, joint ventures and representatives, together with related materials such as standard pre-qualification forms.
Fahd Bin Mohamed Al Hammadi, the president of the Federation of Arab Contractors, said that conference aims to discuss the challenges that face contraction industry in all the Arab countries mainly the appliance of FIDIC contract along with settling the disputes that rise between the companies and the funding problems of the international construction contracts.
