Egypt To Pardon Prisoners On Anniversary Of 1952 Revolution

The Egyptian government has approved the release of a number of prisoners to mark the anniversary of the 1952 revolution, Al-Ahram's Arabic news website reported on Wednesday.
23 July will mark the 62nd anniversary of the 1952 revolution which overthrew the monarchy and ushered in the era of president Gamal-Abdel Nasser.
Egypt frequently pardons inmates during national celebrations.
