Asia-Pacific markets mostly advanced on Tuesday, with Japan's Nikkei 225 reaching a record high as investors welcomed the overnight extension of the US-China trade truce, giving the world's two largest economies more time to negotiate a deal. Australia's key S&P/ASX 200 index rose by 0.28 per cent to reach 8,869.70 at 2:45 p.m. In South Korea, SK Hynix's shares rose by 1.69 per cent, and Samsung Electronics was up by 1.06 per cent.
